About The Bridge Medical Centre

The Bridge Medical Centre was established at Newbridge in 2000 and now includes a Practice Team of 3 GP Principals, a GP Registrar, together with two Practice Nurses, Phlebotomist and Administrative Team of Practice and Assistant Managers and 6 staff. Originally established on The Station Road at Newbridge, the practice relocated to its current location in 2019.

 

The Practice serves the population of Newbridge and surrounds, providing care for individuals, households and families. We are involved with ongoing medical education and provide placements for both undergraduate medical students from UCD and Trinity College Dublin, as well as being a Training Practice for the Trinity College GP Training Scheme.
 
In addition to providing a comprehensive range of GP Care, the practice supports special interests, currently including Occupational Medicine, Global Health, End of Life Planning, Sports Medicine, and procedures including IUCD, Implanon Insertion, and Bariatric Medicine (Overweight Management).
 
At The Bridge Medical Centre, we place value on long term, personal medical care and continuity, and on good preventive medicine. The practice participates at K Doc, The GP Co Operative providing out of hours urgent medical care for participating practices in Kildare and West Wicklow.

Due to ever increasing demand, our medical card and private Patient lists are reviewed regularly to see if there is space on our list.
